I have Placenta Praevia and Gestational Diabetes. Most resources do not recommend antenatal expression of colostrum if you have PP. I have been advised my baby needs to feed within the first 30mins but also that there is a high chance I will require further surgery/recovery due to other complications and therefore baby may need to be fed without me. I have a strong family history of cows milk protein allergy and do not want my baby to have formula. My hospital does not offer the use of donor milk/colostrum so my only choice is to express antenatally. Does anyone have any advice/experience regarding doing this with uncomplicated (no bleeding) placenta praevia? Thank you!
