Recurrent gardnerella vaginalis

Hello women,

I need an advise; my gynaecologist prescribed for my gardnerella issue 6 month probiotic and 7 days antibiotic, which I have done, but when I retested I was still positive.

Gynaecologist now is claiming that I should purchase the expansive version of the probiotic, which to be honest I cannot afford. What should I do? I feel like she is dismissing me only because I m not answering well to the cure she thought would work..

🤔 Always be guided by your doctor who knows the most about your condition.

But, I found this, maybe it depends on the dosage..

The evidence has shown that probiotics can be an alternative therapy for bacterial vaginosis. Important information required is the optimum dosage and the composition of probiotics with the best therapeutic results. There are two studies comparing the dosage with standard administered 108

CFU Lactobacillus [29,30]. The results showed that twice daily dosage gave better therapeutic effects than once daily dosage but the results are not statistically significant.
