Hey so may be a bit of a weird post but here goes:
Just started cycling longer distances so about 7 to 10 miles, always have cycled under 5 miles with no problems.
So I've found I have a numb pubic area which even 5 hours after it still feels numb (sorry if tmi) only noticed when I went to wipe after a wee! Freaked me out. Is this to do with seat positioning? Will it ease off? I have good suspension and a gel seat cover. I'll need to move the seat back a bit anyway, but does it need angling to reduce pressure? What have others found that works?
Help . . . I don't want to stop cycling but that's scared me, can it become permanent?

🙂 Causes: Saddle numbness is often caused by compression of nerves and blood cells, resulting in a lack of blood flow to the perineal area. An ill-fitting saddle, a poor position or not alternating between sitting and standing enough are the primary causes for most cyclists.19 Jul 2017
