So a few months back I think I had a UTI but very mild (constant need to urinate and a little pain) but I drank loads of water and it went within 2 days however I suspect I have another one now as I always need to go for a wee and when I do I have pain. It’s not a burning pain but it’s like an intense dull pain. Could this be a UTI and if so do I have to go to the doctors or can I just get rid of it my own? Thank you

If you have bacteria then antibiotics are needed otherwise it will just hang around and keep flaring up and once the infection becomes chronic it's extremely difficult to get rid of it. Take a sample to your GP surgery so you can get the right treatment.
Thank you! I couldn’t get a doctors appointment until atleast the end of this week so went to a pharmacist who do a UTI test and the results weren’t certain of a UTI but I got antibiotics prescribed as precaution.
Worth seeing your GP after you finish the antibiotics so they can send a sample off to be cultured, 3 days of antibiotics is frequently not enough to clear the bacteria and all that happens is it comes back again.
