HRT and Fibroids

Can anyone help? I have been on the gradual release HRT patches for 3 months and I am having full blown periods every 2 weeks that is leaving me exhausted and very tired. I had a fibroid and thought it would have shrunk after going through the menopause, I am 56. Could the fibroid be the problem or is it normal to have these heavy periods for the first 6 months?

I know the docs always say fibroids shrink but mine hasn't, it's got bigger and I'm nearly 20 years past menopause!!

Sounds like your hrt is causing problems, I took hrt tablets for a few years but never had any bleeding, that's one thing I will never put up with !
