Hi everyone,

I'm new here and very pleased to have found this wonderful site! I have been on the pill for 14 years since I suffered as a teenager with acne, extremely heavy periods and very frequent periods (every 2.5 weeks). My GP at the time said he thought I might not be ovulating.

Whenever I come off the pill (I have a couple of times) these symptoms have all returned which is quite distressing. I also had the mirena coil for about a year but my acne became unbearable.

I am keen to come off birth control as my husband and I are planning to start trying to conceive in the next few months but I am very worried about these symptoms coming back, especially the acne. I am also worried about being infertile Does anyone have any thoughts about what I could do?

Many thanks indeed in advance for your help.
