Hello!
I am after some advice on my current situation TIA for any replies!
I’m 24 years old and have been having problems with my period for 16 years now. I started my periods when I was 8 and they have always been super heavy and very painful. They have been getting progressively worse as I get older. At 16 I was referred to a gyno who said “you’re too young to have scars from an operation, don’t you want to look nice in a bikini?” They found cysts on my ovaries during a scan. At 18 I was referred to a gyno at a different hospital, they did a laparoscopy and again found cysts on my ovaries. But they didn’t do some of the things they had been asked to do. Over the years I have tried the pill, the implant, the coil and the injection to try and help with the flow and the pain but unfortunately to no avail. I’m now 24 and have been referred back to a gyno as I have now been bleeding continuously for 16 weeks and am in agony with period pain. It has got to the point where I am scared that I will kill myself because I am in so much pain (I obviously don’t want to do that, but sometimes the pain is just so much it feels like the only way)
Can anyone suggest anything that they have tried, anything that has helped, and what I should be expecting from my next visit to hospital? I am scared that the only cure will be a hysterectomy.
Thank you and sorry for the long post x
