Hi everyone hope you’re all ok

Ok so I started on amlodapine tablets for high blood pressure 185/110

So was given these on Friday

Been taking 1 5mg last 2 nights about 8 pm

Making me so nauseous and light headed and feeling sick,? Is this normal

And if so how long will it last?

Also bought a blood pressure machine and it’s lower and up and down between 180 and 140 on and off, so fingers crossed it’s working

I have to go back wensday for blood tests and see the guide of the monitors

Just I hate feeling dizzy just want it to stop😩

Also can I take iron tablets with these does anyone know?

Thanks any advice appreciated

x

Sorry 😐 I can’t offer any advice, but you do have empathy from me. I started on these over ten years ago and in the instruction booklet, it said a side effect was a constant cough, within months of taking them. After eighteen months I developed a cough that went on forever, it got so bad I couldn’t talk, the Doctor was reluctant to believe me, but as soon as I stopped them, the cough magically disappeared 😵 If you’re not happy 😊 or feeling different about them, go straight back to your Doctor. Good luck 😉
