Hi
Just joined your group I have been going through the menopause for Twenty years after a hysterectomy at 33 it has been a case of ups and downs to say the least gone through lots of tablets and patches and I’m now on a very low dose now but at times it’s not enough I have gained weight and it’s all around the tummy area it’s feels like a thick tyre 🤦♀️ I struggle to exercise due to other health issues but I’m feeling on a bit of a downer at the moment hope to get to know you all x
Hi Pippapips, I also put weight on after having hysterectomy age 35 ( now age 71) and the Dr refusing to give HRT and I was also diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. Until now have struggled to lose weight and didn’t find my local SW or WW very supportive so I gave up trying. After seeing my liver specialist (another health problem) she suggested this group and trying the Mediterranean diet. I have found everyone to be very helpful and supportive and had lots of advice on recipes etc. in 4 weeks I have lost 8lb. As I have a back problem I find exercising and walking very difficult so have got an exercise Bike which seems to be helping. I wish you luck with whichever healthy eating plan you decide on
Thank you so much for your reply and advice will have a look at the Mediterranean diet do you have any cookery books you could recommend Very well done with you weight loss
Congratulations onwards and upwards
I’ve mainly looked online for menu’s but also use pinch of nom recipe books that were recommended by a friend who is going to slimming world. She is now thinking of joining this site as the help and support is much better, and she feels she is just paying to get weighed.
Great thanks 😊
