I'm going through a few medical problems at the moment but I'll first start off with irregular periods from the very beginning, PCOS, Endometriosis. I will not have a period without some kind of birth control, I've went 6 months without one currently. My question is can not having periods cause depression? It's seems like once I go along time without a period I'll get depressed but the birth control can also make the depression worse. I would love some advice please!!💕💕

Period problem
hey I hope my experience helps!
I have to admit when I got put on contraception for my periods when I was 13 it made my anxiety and low moods 10x worse🙅🏽♀️. I’ve been on different types of pills and they don’t seem to change my mood at all I’m now 27 and still suffer from mood swings and etc when I take my pill! X
Hi Khleesi,
100% yes, I had my mirena coil removed before Christmas, and then no periods for 3 months afterwards, I was so anxious and low in mood, since it returned I had felt so much more like myself. I also didn’t get on with taking the pill (hence having the coil fitted), awful mood swings and it caused me to have high blood pressure too! I’ve been doing some reading around irregular period and lots of women advocate Vitex, which is a natural supplement containing agnus-castus, supposed to work wonders to those with irregular periods. Don’t know if that’s much help but if you’re not getting on with the pill it might be worth a try? Hope you get things sorted.
