Hey everyone I’m just writing for Advice, I’ve had severely painful heavy almost jelly thick like period flow since I was 13 I’ll be 25 soon , My first period related freakout occured when I was sitting in class in high school and I Bled So heavily every few seconds so much that it soaked through my Skirt and Filled my chair luckily another girl spotted it and wiped it before any guys or my male teacher noticed as I Ran out of class to the bathroom in panic and was forced to go home later that day in the schools spare boys uniform TROUSERS I will never forget that humilating moment. however now despite it not being as extreme , it is still a giant burden and I feel like it gets in the way of my life and things I want to do. I take iron tablets during the whole week I get my period because of the almost drained state I go into I used to have seizures when I lost too much and I wear those hideous adult underwear style panties for people with bladder issues because maxipads arent enough to hold my blood leakage but thats still not Enough because I also stuff it with toliet tissues and end up walking like a over cramped constipated penguin with a obvious bulge inbetween my legs from that Tissue fest. I have been to several doctors they haven’t helped except prescribe birth control Tablets which I can’t take as a Eplieptic because it would screw up my other meds and the side effects would be too much. So I just wish there were something else I could do or take that could make my period lighter or even less noticable? any word of advice would be greatly appreciated.

Heavy periods are a problem, but always consult your Neurologist or a Pharmacist before considering taking anything in addition to Epilepsy medication, even if it’s over-the-counter medication. Consider asking if you can be referred to a Gynaecologist for advice 🤔 xB
thankyou for the tips and dont worry I’m very cautious with everything I take haha 😁
Hello
I can totally relate to what you are saying, I am older than you but have always suffered from heavy painful periods, my doctor has just prescribed me medication that makes periods less heavy, they are called tranexamic acid.hope this helps
thanks for responding , may I ask what kind of medication tranexamic acid is? cause I have to be careful with the meds I take. birth control is a huge no no 🤭
