Hello, I am a 58 year old woman, considered my self as being fairly fit. I have never smoked nor consumed any alcohol in my life.
Last year In December i decided to do a 10kg charity run. I started building my activity level.
I noticed that when I do a brisk walk after a while I get a pain on my left shoulder. I thought I discuss it with my GP. My GP referred me to see a cardiologist. Cardiologist suggested that I have a us stress echocardiogram done. Prior to this I was able to spend time in gym daily and I was able to do aerobics, steps yoga etc. I never got the pain when I did these exercises. Only when I jogged I had the pain.
I had the stress test done last Tuesday and since then I am unable to function. Can’t even walk up the stairs at home. I get chest heaviness and short of breast. I went to A&E on Monday and a few blood tests were done to check for the signs of heart attack. It was all clear. I go to my GP and they say go to A&E. I called the consultant cardiologist and they say go to A&E.
Has anyone in this group experienced similar change after the stress test? Also can some one recommend a good cardiologists . I live In Solihull. Thanks
