Hi I’m currently 23 years old, been suffering with lower back pain on and off. It’s started to travel down my legs and is very bad. Paracetamol/ibuprofen does not take pain away. A dull ache pain in lower pelvis and sometimes a twitching pain in left side I constantly need to pee and most of the time go back second time because of pressure in bladder. I feel pain during intercourse deep inside as if something’s being poked and prodded.

My mum had a full hysterectomy aged 48 due to grapefruit sized fibroid and think she had fibroids etc when she was younger. She suffered from fertility, as I’m a IVF baby.

I really need to help and advice I’m embarrassed to go the the gp.Thank you all

Only your GP can help as nobody on here has a crystal ball 😉 Fibroids would usually cause heavy bleeding rather than pain and as you have wee problems it would be wise to get a urine test done in case you have a UTI.

I've had fibroids for near enough 40 years, current one is large but doesn't cause any symptoms.

Best to overcome the embarrassment and see your doc, they've seen it all before !!
