For about the past 6 weeks I have had spotting and menstrual cramps. I haven't had a period for about 5 years. My lower back seems to ache on occasion, and I have days where I am bloated. I'm always tired lately and seem to be drinking more than usual.
Weight the same (heavy).
I have diabetes 2, so I'm assuming the tiredness and thirst has to do with that. I also have a bad hiatus hernia, so again I'm just attributing my bloatedness to that.
I seem to be able to justify all my 'ailments' to something. I loath to go to Dr's as they always make me feel like I am wasting their time, and crying wolf. Any suggestions or advice?
Sorry to hear everything that you're going through. I think it's funny sometimes our body parts seem to all start to kick off once when one things going on it can be a catalyst. I know what you mean about doctors but I think when you find a good one it can help. I don't know what anybody else here thinks but I think it might still be wise to go and get yourself checked out just to make sure. Don't feel that you're being a burden because you need to make sure. Sometimes over the years little things I thought were insignificant the doctors have been more interested in and the biggest things sometimes they're not. For example the other day I had a list of things to talk about and some things just to let the doctor know and what turned out to be more important was one of the little things. Anyway hopefully everything is fine but I'm sure getting it checked will put your own mind at rest as well. Hope things go ok for you. Keep us posted
Hi you really should see your GP, be brave :). They will take notice if you say you are having periods after the menopause. I have just done the same and I have seen a gynecologist and awaiting the results!
Thanks for your advise. I went to the yesterday and he has fast tracked me to have a scan. Waiting for my appointment to arrive. I'm sure it's nothing .
Hi, I am on gel and tabs hrt and have had the same spotting mild two day bleed, and cramps... Was put on this combo after other tabs made me itch!! I mentioned to the Menopause Clinic at Mile End hospital the bleeding after two years of nothing, and doc was good, even though I played it down by saying it says up to 6 months you can spot on this combo but she referred me to The Royal London.. The scan date was within 2 weeks and a probe slightly inside and ultra on tummy on one side happened... It's nothing to worry about and the woman seemed happy... So it maybe a situation they move fast on this regardless of how urgent it all sounds and turns out to be... You'll be fine 😊
