I have the above happening to me and I am interested in what causes it and is it treatable. I’m 53 years old and recently been suffering from depression. I’m on anti depressant drugs. I’m interested in what this is and what caused it Or is this a thyroid condition or am I going mad 😬
Thank you

My sons girlfriend is being referred to an ent specialist as she has can hear her heartbeat in her ear. She has been told it may be related to a type of food she is eating.
I have this when my B12 is low or I’ve had a little too much thyroid medication. Depression is common with thyroid disorders, though your issue could be due to insufficient nutrients the body needs to produce, convert, & absorb thyroid hormones.
Can you ask for yours to be tested? Free T3 & T4, TSH, vitamins D, B12 & folate, iron & ferritin. Autoimmune thyroiditis is common, so the antibodies for this need looking at, too. If you get your results, post them with the laboratory ranges on Thyroid UK where the lovely clever people will help.
Some countries supplement with B12 if levels are below 500, even higher is needed for good thyroid hormone conversion.
Pulistile titinnus, it’s called. If you google it can be a number of things. Sometimes there is not cause that can be found. Gold standard test is a catheter angiogram to the brain to look at the Veins and artery’s in the head and neck. I’ve been though all the diagnostic tests and not found anything so far....
Your hearing doesn’t have to be affected, other name for it is called vascular tinnitus.
