The gales have passed on and I have rescued my wheelie bins from the street.
I took part in an NHS piece of research. Had to have blood taken, and measurements were done of height, weight, etc.:
Good news: their scales weighed a pound less than mine, even with my clothes on.
Not so good news: I appear to have shrunk. I was claiming 5’ but apparently falsely!
I am keeping to LCHF. For me that means eating protein twice a day, which stops me feeling hungry. Weight loss happens very very slowly, and when I eat or how much water I drink don’t seem to make any difference.
Breakfast: good coffee with 2 teaspoons cream
Lunch: cold chicken with mixed salad with olive oil and vinegar.
Evening meal: smoked mackerel and veg. Greek yoghurt and seeds.
Snack: spoonful of crunchy peanut butter.

Here's my my tip (if you are a chocaholic) add a spoon of unsweetened cocoa powder to your coffee. It turns it into a mocha.
I guess I'm more generous with the cream than you, and I also add monkfruit no calorie sweetener. You can add a tablespoon a mct oil as well, which helps with weight loss (and tastes like nothing.)
Hello amyloid, sorry for the late reply. Thank you for the advice about mct oil - I did wonder about it. And where do you buy monk fruit? Yes, I would say I’m a chocoholic but it’s danger territory for me, like crack cocaine! However, I have been helped by the fact that the major chocolate manufacturers have changed their recipe in recent years so it’s sweeter and less chocolatey. I could still get hooked but it wouldn’t be a pleasure.
Monk fruit sweetener is generally available wherever non-caloric sweeteners are sold, I think, but I'm sure you can get it on amazon. I like splenda too.
Unsweetened cocoa powder is pretty much a free food on any diet (it has a few carbs, but I challenge anyone to eat enough to make it matter--it's quite strong!) Adding a spoon to your coffee shouldn't make much of a difference, except in taste. I think you could have as much as you wanted. In fact, it's filled with antioxidants and good for you. Getting "hooked" would be fine!
