I haven't been here in a very long time. Here's a little bit about myself. I'm starting my weight loss journey to a healthier me. I need to lose 50 pounds, my BMI is at 32 and I'm obese. I’m slowly starting to build myself a diet plan & fitness routine that will work for me. I eat a healthy balance of meat, carbs, fat, veggies & fruit.

As for fitness, I'm slowly finding getting into a working out. I just need to find what works for me now. I want to be accountable for my journey. Looking forward to meeting new friends and take this journey together and encourage each other. 😀

You mention 'healthy balance': just wondering what you'll be doing differently this time. It rarely works to 'just try harder' at whatever we've tried before.

Hi and thanks for the lovely welcome. As for my meal plan, it's not set in stone but right now I'm trying to get 100 grams of lean protein daily, healthy fats (avocado, olive oil etc) and limiting my carbs to one meal a day which for me, is at dinner time. I've never been one for bread at breakfast or lunch so it seems easier for me to just have my carbs at dinner, like pasta etc ... I'm also tracking my food on an app which makes things easier too..

Welcome or perhaps welcome back. I know quite a few of us on here have had weightloss success by significantly reducing carbs - so maybe look carefully at the carbs you are including in your plan. If you can find an exercise regime you enjoy and that fits in with your lifestyle then you’ll keep at it, so perhaps try a variety of things till you find something that will stick. Definitely worth joining in here to support others and get support.

Hi and thanks for the lovely welcome. I've been prioritizing protein, trying to get 100 grams of lean protein daily. I've never been one for carbs/bread etc at breakfast or lunch so it seems easier for me to just have my carbs at dinner, like pasta etc

Don't quite understand why you are TRYING to eat carbs. For most folks it's really hard to cut them out, but if you can do it easily, then I say, go for a low carb diet! Check out diet doctor online.

You misread my post, I said "I've been prioritizing protein, trying to get 100 grams of lean protein daily." As for carbs I don't believe in eliminating a whole food group.

You sound very sensible Giggles. Make sure you dont undereat and you should be fine with what you have planned.
