Is this is for weight loss? Have a look at Myfitnesspal free app . This will allow you to scan all foods and give you a guide to nutrients . I feel if you input your list into this app you will see what you need to focus on . I was amazed how much sugar / salt was in processed foods . Subway has quite a good breakdown off what is in their food . I would try and eat more but watch what you eat and what is in it .

Yes I need to just have slightly more willpower and maybe not buy anything like cakes or biscuits. I do enjoy fruit bowls almost every day but they have mango in there and red berries

I'm going back on the Victoria secret diet tomorrow

I admire your honesty. This is a lifestyle and it is hard . I am 64 . Kids all now left home so I am privileged to have a bit more money which means more days and nights out with friends but need to be strict at home or all my plans / hard work will be for nothing so - if it’s not in my cupboard then I can’t eat it .

IWhen you go for nights out with your friend is it going out eating or drinking?I was in hospital for a while and a side effect of some of the treatment they gave me was increased appetite.

This is resolving so the last hurdle I've suddenly gotten craving for sugar I also have PCOS I think that this also happens

As you know, the appropriate plan for PCOS is a low carb diet but it's clear you don't want that option

I eat and drink out with friends but am mindful . Don’t want my social life ruined but they tend to eat / drink everything . I just get on track the next day . Sugar is obviously addictive but do this in stages or have days where you plan food accordingly. I doubt whether anyone can completely cut it out but aim for natural sugar in fruit, raisins etc .

Natural sugars are as bad for you calorie-wise as refined sugars. The only difference is that they enter the system less quickly.

As to the OPs general food intake, cornflakes and subways are not the way to go.

I understand but I eat things like fruit for the nutrients as well as the sugar . There are traces in many vegetables but I eat for health reasons in moderation .

And cornflakes and subway?

No Norwich -I personally prefer porridge made with water with Greek yogurt and fruit on top as this stops me snacking until lunch which then is protein - say cottage cheese about 150g with a mixed salad or canned fish . I haven’t touched Subway since I went years ago out of curiosity. I like larger meals and no snacks but those meals have to be carefully balanced as I have had hiatus hernia and gall bladder surgery and strive to keep my weight stable so - that’s what works for me and my husband who virtually eats the same .
