Well the snow has finally melted away. The ground is still a little frozen though but I couldn't wait anymore.
We started the demolish cellar project last week by cutting down the trees around it and taking out the roots. Moving all the huge stones that were buried under the ground. The cutting of the trees into wood for the firepit and the chipping of branches has continued for the last few days.
Today the digger man came just after 8am and took away the huge amount of soil covering the cellar. Then I dashed to the rental store to borrow a Jack hammer to get through the concrete. I rented it for 2 days but took it back after 2 hours as we had completed the job with the jack hammer and the sledgehammer. Yes they did let me loose with the sledgehammer (fools they areπ)
The digger guy left the digger here and came back and filled in the hole and cleaned up the garden. I am now buggered and my arm is telling me not to use the sledgehammer again for a whileππ
Tomorrow continues chipping the rest of the branches, chopping the wood and moving the stones to a place of storage until I use them again.
Hopefully by Thursday everything will be done and we can chill over the Easter weekend and start again next week.
Now off to sit my sore legs and arms in the sauna and relax with youngest daughter that turned 14 today ππ
Some pics from today's progress
Good week to all
