I'm off to a work colleagues 50th birthday party tonight and I'm feeling a tad apprehensive about all the party food that will be tempting me! As much as I'm trying to mentally prepare myself now, it's so much harder when temptation is right in front of you!
I'm going to have a light healthy supper before we go and hope they have a few healthier foods on offer.

Good luck! I've got a party tonight too. My challenge will be to hold back on the wine. Will be thinking of you
Hmmm it is hard to say no when there are lots of lovely party food in front of you. I would do the same as you and have tea before you go and maybe have a few light treats at the party, just think when you are there what you want the most, to lose weight or the food in front of you and I'm sure it will be the bigger picture to lose weight, have a dance instead
Maybe take some tic tacs or mints with you and if you feel tempted have a mint to put you off, plus with how strong tic tacs are if you did eat something after it wouldn't taste the same cos of eating mints so you wouldn't want it anyway
Good luck, parties are always a tough one. I always find having something light before I go helps. I also find sitting as far away as possible from the buffett table helps me not to nibble too much.βΊ
I find one of the best things to help me resist t hose temptations is lots of dancing. Most party's have a big bowl of salad so have loads and drinks loads of soda water and lime.
Thank you, yes I'm planning on lots of dancing. I have planned in a wine and soda into my calories but then will swap to lime and soda which is my drink of choice normally. π
