Where do I start…..? It’s been a while. So much has happened since I last checked in. Work/life being as hectic as ever.
Not been happy in myself for a while. Some clothes are being bought in a bigger size so feel very fat & frumpy. I’ve toyed with the idea of joining a slimming group (both the ones with W in their names). Was even tempted (not for long though) when a friend of a friend, who’d obviously been stalking Facebook tried to get me into her nutrition (herba**** ) group. Maybe not!
So, here I am again. I’ve had a little lurk round the site & pleased to see some familar names. Just pondering my official weigh in day then will get cracking.

After years of experimenting with almost everything- shakes , low fat , low sugar . 16/ 8 fasting etc the only thing that works long term is 3 decent unprocessed meals, no snacks and a good social life which if you eat sensibly all week then that what you like to eat 2-3 hours now for me doesn’t impact . I can only restrict for maybe 8-10 weeks , announce to all how good I am then “bang “ all my punishing days have really been for nothing except maybe internally I have given my vital organs a rest . I would try portion sizes , a guide like the free MyFitnessPal just to see what the food you are planning simply contains . After a month ditch the app as you will know all . I can’t say anything else apart from this is working for me and 4 pals . We do the gym but group Zumba . I swim only for 25 max mins and try to walk more but don’t go mad . My bike has cobwebs now and my running shoes were binned. Enjoy life and those 3 good nutritional meals
Hi, and welcome ( back), As you probably know already, lots of support on here if you join in. No shame in giving the w clubs a go, I lost a lot with ww and still have some lovely friends from there. Have a good first week.
hi Yorkshirepud I think we were supporting each other a few years ago? It is so easy to slip back into that routine of keeping up with everyone else, having our share of the bottle of wine / chocolate etc, and I found that the kilos were going back on bit by bit. So back here trying to address it again.
I am using the daily diary which is really supporting, and whilst I have always weighed in on the Sunday, I will be switching to Thursday as it suits my weekly routine better. Join me on Thursday and we can support each other!
Hi yorkshirepud, I am in the similar boat having gained weight again. We have done it before we can do it again. We have taken the first step in acknowledging it and now we can all work together.
