I am 70 this year - and put on a stone or three, and thought I should get slim before I get old. If you have two dogs and a gym... I am sure you will get the weight off soon.

I know the feeling too. I am 54, and like you I have put on weight due to age etc. It is so easy to put it on, but the losing is the hardest, especially now our metabolic rate has changed, due to hormones etc etc. I don't go to a gym, but I do have a dog. Last year when I first came on here, I tried the Active 10, but the application wasn't any good, and I really couldn't get into it with the dog. Anyway, I had a restart after Christmas, and I have improved on the Active 10 and now I have got a fitter dog, who looks forward to walking in the morning, and I have managed to lose some weight, which is great. Things start off small, but with practice and perseverance they get so much better. This morning I actually ran with my dog, and it felt great, which last year I would have been out of breath. Everyone on here is so supportive, because we all have our own battles to overcome, so I wish you luck on your journey, and hope to hear you on here with some great news. I had a bad hormonal week the other week and was so bloated and the weight went up FIVE pounds, I thought it would just calm down again this week but its stayed!! Five pound heavier and bloated π
Im not gettn to the gym much but I do walk dogs.

Hi, hope today will be a good one for you. Have you been on the menapausal website? There are some very good tips for that very same thing. One suggestion was cut out caffeine. If you do like your tea and coffee, only have one first thing in the morning. Helps with sleep and keeps the night sweats down. I have been doing this for about a month now and I have seen a vast improvement with my sleep. π
I drink tea but very weak and not coffee.....I will drink more water today....I am going to try to have a focused good day today as yesterday wasnt!! π
