I havent posted for a few weeks. But still on my weight loss programme. I have been away for a couple of weeks. Great this semi retirement. Well got back 2 weeks ago. Lost 1 pound last week and another 3lb this week. Only 8 pounds left to my goal. I started before Xmas 2022 at 18 stone 4. Now weighed in at 11 stone 8. So good buying size 10 and 12 clothes. Instead of 20. Depending on where I shop of course. Feeling mentally stronger and physically fitted. It's a great feeling. I do body combat on Monday. Swimming aerobics Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday off. Gym Friday. Then take my dog for long walks at the weekend.
Last year. None of this was possible. Wouldn't even thought of walking to my slimming world group just 5 mins away. After all. Isn't that what a car is for. Now I walk most places. Like the shops and the doctors. My dog now does at least 3 walks a day as well. So it's good for her and me. Even been out in this awful weather already with my dog.
Nothing stopping me now. My goal is in site

Tbh it's been good for me. I stay at the meetings and find it keeps me going. The food can be what ever you make it if you follow their guide lines. For example sausage egg chips and beans. Done slimming world styl is good. Airfry the chips. Aldi skinny sausages and fry light the eggs and its vertually syn free. I won woman of the year in mat for our group and miss slinky last Saturday for our group.
Well done bee bop. Same here. My total weight loss now is 6 and 1/2 stone. So pleased with that. Now only 8lbs left to target. Never though I would do it. But here I am
Hi melo3. Before I joined sw I went to weight watchers. Couldn't get on with that and tried on my own mant times but failed. I was out walking my dog when I saw the sw poster. So I joined the week before Xmas. I know. The wrong time of the year and I was going away for Xmas as well. But as my dad said. Strick whilst the iron is hot. So I did. Tbh. Didnt think it would work. But the 1st week I lost 3lbs. Well it was Xmas. 2nd week I lost 9 and so on. It just kept coming off. Had the odd blip with holidays etc. But here I am now 6 and 1/2 stone lighter.
It's worked for me. But you have to have the right mindset and change what you eat. I don't go hungry I have just changed what I eat.
I totally agree if ur mindset isn’t right it won’t work, I’m at wits end and know I have to do this when I see photos of myself I hate it , don’t know if anyone in my area does slimming world class but I’m going to look it up online
I’m ready to try my hardest not to be this weight or size next year x
I've just replied to you on another post, but reading this I think I'll go ahead and give you the link to our active groups here on Weight Loss Support.
We have a great bunch of members, all aiming to lose weight, or maintain their goal once they've reached it. The peer support here is amazing, and there really is an array of approaches, we're all different and what works for one person might not work for another, so this is a great place not just to keep track, but to get new ideas, and share what might be working for you.
The Daily Diary is where members post their menu plans, and exercise too if they wish, and the Weigh In does what it says, and is where you can earn "badges" to spur you on.
We have regular challenges, recipe groups, share fitness goals and even have a book group!
The link is here, have a look and if you have any questions, just ask away.
Thats good. Tho do try and find a group. The people there are so supportive and you can chat talk things over. Make some good friends as well. Also do things together. Like walking swimming and so on. I wish you all the best on your journey. Yes you can do it. Be pissitive your already there as you sId. You don't want to look and feel this way next year
