Hello. I joined today and set up the NHS app too. I need to find out how to keep myself motivated.... I work around food and it's hard when you look at it all day!! I have to lose a significant amount of weight and will start at 5% but always goes well the first week then I start to struggle.
I am trying to avoid more surgery so I know that will be a bit help.
But does any one have tips when I'm sat at home or the weekend.
Hello and welcome, great to have you with us. You've got a great incentive there, the best advice I can give is keep logging on here
We hope you'll be joining us on all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weekly weigh in and the Daily Diary, the best places to give and receive advice, support and bucket loads of encouragement.
I found that finding a photo in a magazine of something I would love to wear if I lost weight or a person I would like to be like sizewise cutting it out and putting it on the fridge was good motivationAlso writing down all the good reasons for losing weight and then all the negatives about being overweight
Have a goal althoughI know it's hard with Covid to look forward to events picture what you would wear how you would feel for being slimmer I had my son's wedding to lose it for and I'm so glad I did it
Wishing you all the very best good luck x
Welcome to our friendly community. You have already taken your first positive step by joining us. There is no better place for support and encouragement. I agree with Lytham, taking part in the various events such as a weekly weigh in and being active on the Daily Diary will help motivate you. At weekends we are still here to cheer you on so you are never alone. Another way to handle weekends is taking up a new interest that might take your mind off snacking. Good luck with your weight loss journey and best wishes.
Thank you all. Great idea for a picture. I am still working out how the site works , joining things and adding stuff but I'll get there.
