Today is my day 1 on my journey and I'm looking for support along the way
Over the past year and a half with covid and not being active I've gained about 35kg and it's time to get it off again because my health has taken a MAJOR decline
This past year I've tried to get back on the wagon so many times but this time I REALLY want to make it stick (hence why I'm joining this community
I know what I need to do to get there, it's just following through, so I'm hoping that posting on here will help to keep me accountable on my journey and be a safe place for me to share the ups and downs of my journey

This is a very large community with lots going on. May I suggest you use the webpage as opposed to the app at least until you know your way around. Take your time and follow every thread so that you know exactly what’s going on.
Here’s the link for a “Tour” of the forum ,if you haven’t already taken it.
You are not alone in gaining weight during this pandemic many of our members find themselves in a similar situation. I suggest that you look at smaller goals, losing 1 or even 2 Kg is a week or so, seems far more achievable than losing 35 Kg.
You don't mention which,if any plan you're following, if you are following the NHS plan please check your BMI on the NHS site and obtain the correct amount of calories for you.
The Daily Diary and the Weekly Weigh ins are very good places to begin. You will find the DD and WI in the Pinned Posts
I find the Daily Diary a very good place to share my plans and get inspiration from other members, too. Once the day’s food is written down I’m far more likely to stay on track.
The key to success is participation, we are all on the same journey.
If you can’t find something just shout, there’s usually someone around.
I hope to “see” you around, Good Luck.🍀😉

Hi - Can you do any exercise as You Tube is brilliant for everything and anything . Walking is great especially in winter if you lack confidence as you won't have to wear shorter summer gear . Swimming is brilliant and daytimes usually are quiet. I simply do cal counting of 3 meals a day on a 400 . 400 .600 plan and try not to snack . I couldn't follow a cut out something strict diet and I have found my shopping bill has reduced as have I . This has worked for me and my husband - great if you can get a least 1 family member to do it with you or a friend . I didn't pay for slimming clubs as why pay for common sense and the pushing in some of over processed doll sized portions .
It's nice to know someone else that's starting at the same time
All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/weight-l... and we hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.
We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.
Hi khasan82 and welcome to this amazing forum. I don't know if you realize it but you have replied to an older thread so you may not receive any replies. You're welcome to write a new post, introducing yourself and sharing your weight loss story
I suggest you spend some time clicking about to find your way around. It's easier if you have a lap-top as there are several threads. If you’re using another device I strongly suggest that you use the web page as opposed to the app at least until you know your way around.
Have a good read of the pinned post “Welcome Newbies” and follow every thread.
I strongly suggest you read and contribute to the Daily Diary and participate in a Weekly Weigh in.
You will find there's loads of tips about better eating, from other members. Sharing your daily menu not only helps you stay committed, it can help other members too.
