As I enter month#2 of my plan I must come to grips with the realization that there will be some slow downs and some set backs. I wanted to get in a nice bike ride last night and a late cold front blew in. It was cold and very windy and my stationary bike is out on my porch so no ride for me and the cold seemed to stimulate my appetite so I ate like 700 extra calories.
Today I just gotta dust myself off and continue trudging along. One setback day doesn’t ruin the program. If I do well today I’m back on track! I have 9 months till retirement and 60 more lbs to lose. That’s only 7 lbs per month. Very attainable if I stay after it.

I am only at the start of my journey and lost 2 lbs in a few days. But I need to find a permanent plan for me as low calorie and 10,000 steps work but short term. What have you been doing ?I need to buy a bike.
I have found Low carb high fat works really well but slow weight loss. Doesnt feel at all like diet though which suits me. I do a mix of yoga and some cycling with e bike (very hilly here). Keep my fingers out of biscuit tin with knitting and crocheting at night. Is a good distraction and I have lots of scarves, hats, gloves and socks now.
I will have to work up to that ambition. Small items for now but have a lovely range of colourful socks with alpaca wool. Took me time to master `turning a heel` and ended up with some very strange looking socks.
I am heading steadily towards retirement too. It can be frustrating when your plans get sidelined and absolutely one set back doesnt mean disaster. I am a little more relaxed now with this approach. I have had a couple of relaxed weeks with a small weight gain but back to yoga and occasional bike rides and I try to focus on what makes me feel better rather on what I should do. I love gardening so with the better weather get out in the garden as much as possible and will include some digging. Nothing like green gym
