Oh no three days on the same weight and thought I had been good . Is coleslaw high in carbs ? I’m wandering if it’s my downfall it’s the Aldi creamy coleslaw ? Is it high in sugar? Any advice welcome. I’m going to fast today and have a brunch and evening meal though. I’ve had a ride out on the bike early this morning to beat the rain .

Hi Jeff ..🙂

Why don’t you make your own coleslaw ..

And use the lighter than light mayo from Aldi ..

you can even put some extra colour in by using red onion or red cabbage .. just make up the dry mix and you can add bits of mayo to it when you need your coleslaw .. and any dry mix left after couple of days can be added to soups /stews etc 😁

No wastage

Reduced fat versions of high fat foods are one of the reasons 2/3 of the UK is overweight.

Eat real food.

Turn it over and read the nutrition label. Aldi don't publish that online, so you are best placed to see how much carbs are in it.

Don't weigh yourself every day, if you are going to obsess if the scales don't go down for 3 days. Once a week is enough.

(I weigh most days, but I know weight goes up almost as often as it goes down, even when you are consistently losing)

Thanks Subtle badger you’re right I think when I’ve lost a little more I’ll become more relaxed about it

Yeah, a good kick start helps. For my first month going low carb, I followed Michael Mosley's Fast800, and lost of 7kg. That has made me pretty sanguine with much slower weight loss since I started eating more food.

Sometimes I find I stay at a weight for a while and then suddenly see a drop. Hang on in there but I would consider if there is a substitute for coleslaw you could use.

Hi JeffDavies123 and to endorse what Subtle_badger says about not weighing yourself every day, I found it absolutely liberating just doing a weekly weigh-in. My focus turned to other things eg finding new dishes to cook.

Coleslaws vary a lot. I have found that, as a general rule, the more expensive the coleslaw, the less sugar it has. So if you love coleslaw, you need to treat yourself with the best!
