Week 21

Hi everyone. So today I weighed in and lost 2 lbs which brings my total weight lost to 51 lbs. I am really pleased with this and knew something felt different about the way I am fitting in my clothes now I am a size 16 but have found that some 14's also fit which is great.

I am very proud and look forward to telling my mum later what I have accomplished this week. She gave me her bike the other day to help me on my journey. I haven't rode a bike in over 20 years but rode it just over 3 miles home and it felt good knowing that I did that.

Good luck everyone on your journey and have a great week x

Activities include skating, riding a bike, gym, walking and jogging. I am a very active person now compared to what I used to be like and I enjoy each and everyone of them.

Well done you! you seem to be losing the weight at a sensible rate but 51lbs in 21 weeks is really good going. I only started last week and am due for my first weigh in on Monday. I have 61lbs to lose and haven't really set a time limit although I did hope to lose 3 stone by next April before a big family holiday. I'll be well happy if I can do anywhere near as well as you! This is a lovely forum, you can really be inspired by other people's achievements.

Hi weasley, thank you. The journey of losing weight has been very manageable as I plan each and every day such as what to eat and choice of exercise so it is working. There has only been one week where I stayed the same but that's ok to because it wasn't a gain so very pleased with the progress I have made. You should be able to lose 3 stone by next April if not more, believe in yourself and your ability to achieve this goal and it will happen for you. I wish you every success on your journey and keep posting how your doing as this site is a tremendous help and keeps you motivated.

Good luck

Woohoo well done on losing the 2lbs and also on your activity level - that's great :-) I am glad that you have some good news to share with your Mum :-) x

Thank you and for your support. You know my mum said to me that I should take the kids skating and I am glad I did because of her I am now skating again and at the same time help other children to learn. I'm glad I listened to her :-)

Hope you have a great week hun x

Hi Trafford1,

Congratulations on losing 2 pounds this week - and to achieving 51 pounds in total, that is really great. Enjoy wearing those size 14 clothes. It's great that you can share those achievements with your Mum later today - I'm sure she'll be proud of you. Well done for riding home by bike for the first time in 20 years or so, you're doing lots of varied activities now, and it's so great that you're enjoying each and every one of them.

Wishing you a good week ahead.

Lowcal :-)

Hi Lowcal, thank you so much. It was my mum who told me to take the kids skating which lead to me skating and she gave me the bike so I have her to thank for the extra activities which will help me on journey. I do enjoy exercise and I find it also helps when I am feeling down to pick me back up or take my mind off things.

I really didn't expect to lose anything this week after what I ate in Blackpool but all the walking I did with my sister must have really helped to burn off the extra calories I consumed and using the recumbent bike at the gym has helped me get used to pedalling an actual bike so I am making progress.

I am feeling good at the moment because of people like you who have given me support and encouragement so I very much thank you for that.

Best wishes and good luck at your next weigh in Lowcal

Thank you I am happy to see the sizes going down. It does take some getting used to. I have so many clothes to give to charity now and never want to see that size again :-) Have a great week also.

You have done so well, what an achievement to lose so much weight in such a short time and to drop your dress size by so much.

trafford1 profile image
trafford1 in reply toRos1

Hi Ros1, thank you. Dropping dress sizes is a strange feeling because I was used to being so big and liked the clothes I wore. I now have these packed in some bags ready to take to the charity shop. It's not only a great feeling knowing I am going down in size but giving to charity is also just as great.

Have a great week ahead x
