Good morning All, I am hoping to lose my weight again with the help of everything but have the mind set to continue for longer than 2 days! Hope you are all safe and well and fingers crossed that I will be still looking after myself.

You've had quite a history of trying to get to a healthy weight, haven't you? As none of your previous efforts have worked, I hope you'll use this opportunity to find a different way forward. You'll find plenty of members here who have lost a lot of weight so I hope you will pick their brains and find something that works for you.

Look through those posts and you will find the weigh in and Daily Diary, which is a good place to start. Also, the daily chat for a general natter and to get to know people, and much more besides.

Active participation pays off so I hope we'll see you joining in around the forum :)

You're welcome. You can join today's weigh in and get to know the Saturday Superstars team. You can also be browsing today's Daily Diary so you get the idea of how it works, then you can add your meal plans for tomorrow when Sunday's diary opens this evening :)

I would have never said my weight out loud - always way too embarrassing.

I’m not sure I would be too comfortable mentioning my starting weight in a social situation even now. But here on the forum, nobody ever judged me 😊

Saying it out loud or putting it in writing can be scary as it may feel as if it’s making it real. But it would be also a sign of acknowledging the problem and facing the fact that something has to be done about it .

See what’s better for you, but you are definitely in a safe place should you decide to share.

My own starting weight was 135.4 kg - I got so frustrated when I saw it that I buried my head in the sand and when I emerged three weeks later, it was 138.3 kg. I still consider 135.4 as my starting weight for this journey 😊 it also taught me that if I’m hiding - who am I kidding, really? 😊

And you don’t need to last more than two days, you only need to last one day, which is called ‘today’ 😉

thank you so much, half a day in and doing well x

U will, I have the desire, just take it step by step, keep.it simple, dont overcomplicate it and where needed plan ahead even if it's only for 2 minutes during the day so u know your strategy

Hi Lauraloolum and welcome you will get in the swing of it. My start weight was 26 stone 6lb and now I'm 19 stone 3lbs I started in May last year I'm now 7 stone 3lbs loss you get your weight down we are all here for one thing weight loss you will do it like I am and loads of others good luck in your weight loss journey xx

Hi Lauraloolum. I lurked around the forums for 6 weeks before I got up the courage to own my weight, but joining in here was the best thing I could have done having lost 51 kg (8stone) in just over 20 months before basically maintaining for the last 12 months. I do still have about another 10kg to lose which will happen one day! I wish you every success with your weight loss journey and look forward to seeing you around the forums.
