Hi chance_chanceIve had hperthyroud years ago, then had the radioactive therapy, now I have no thyroid. I am happy with the outcome but unfortunately gained a lot of weight after going back to normal metabolism and thanks to the pills Iam taking for a depression. This thyroid actually do not effect losing weight but if you eat the same amount that you ate before the surgery, you will gain weight as your metabolism slows down a lot.

If you stick to a healthy, low calorie diet you could succeed, do not worry and I m sure lose that weight, lots of luck, x

First of all. Don't beat yourself up! Take time to get used to the new you - Very important.Second, what foods do you like that outline a healthy diet. Don't just rush at a lot of new foods - It does not help trying to live on food you don't like.

Thirdly, look for nice receipes with food you do like.

Lastly, like yourself! You will slip, but just get up, dust down, smile. This is a long haul, not a 2 day Sprint. You can get there and we are here to help dust you down. I know it is a cliche, but we are all stronger with friends

Thank you for your advice I'm not rushing into it I'm looking at different diets to see which will suit me best. I plan to start it when by next online food delivery is due as I can go back and edit it for more healthy options. It good to have support from the group.
