We're going to be meeting here at 2pm to do this 30 minute workout youtu.be/gC_L9qAHVJ8
It's going to take place every Thursday at the same time for at least the next 4 weeks.
If you'd like to join us, just meet here at 2pm, leave a comment to let us know you're participating, we'll go away for 45 minutes (with an allowance for breaks) and return here for a brief chat afterwards π
All welcome to join. If you'd like to join but are shy, have a disability or just need some extra support, feel free to message me.
Looking forward to it π

Phew, that was harder than I expected. After the first round my left leg was killing so I did alternate side steps instead of just one leg at a time in the second round. I'm used to doing the drops from other vidz now but combined with the knee tap, it was much more difficult. Shower at the ready and suitably exhilarated but tired π I'll be doing a different one on Tuesday just to balance things out.
I can't do upper body.. I don't want a bigger upper back π I've just had a look at the video and don't have any weights either.
Not sure how we can make this work.
We can definitely stick to the Thursdays workout and I'll post like this week... And then maybe give me a shout when your doing another day and I can join you?
I won't be using weights to start with as I'll have to take it slowly. I would use a couple of cans of tomatoes when I'm strong enough so don't need weights. I have double mastectomy scars that are quite tight so I can't go too fast. I need to build my strength up as lifting can be difficult. I'll see if I can find something else that you may find more suitable. Perhaps someone else will pick up on this and have alternative suggestions too. X
A great motivation if we aren't doing it alone. Grateful to MintTeaMascara for hosting this. Hope we see you for an after chat next Thursday. I've posted 2 other vidz that I will be doing on Saturday and Tuesday if they are helpful to you. π
I was thinking about joining and then reading replies realised that I got the email on Friday morning, 20 hours after it was posted by the sounds of it, it would have been too much for me anyway and I'll stick to my brisk walks on a treadmill and stretches. But perhaps for different time zones and those that get email notifications of posts, remind people of this on the Wednesday ready for Thursday?
We'll be doing them Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays now if you'd like to join in. I'd encourage you to if you'd prefer the group setting and there's always the option to pause or march through any of the exercises if it becomes too much.
I'll be posting over the next day or 2 with an update x
Just to say that I couldn't make the time you mentioned yesterday, but I did the work-out at about 4pm yesterday, and it was enjoyable, and I benefited from knowing that you and bobz17 had done it earlier - it somehow felt like I was doing something with a feeling of camaraderie (might not be the right word, but I hope you know what I mean).
Anyway, just wanted to say that I enjoyed it! I'll probably just look out for work-outs that you're doing, and do them whenever I can - as and when, but I like your initiative here - great idea!
Hi. Yes I understand what you mean plus it gave me motivation to do it knowing that someone else was too. I can't see there being a problem with you doing it at a more convenient time for you. We will pick up on your feedback when you post, it just won't be part of the chat immediately after the workout, you'll still be included with our responses. Take care.
Hi chb555 and welcome to this amazing forum. It's lovely to see that you are already joining in.
I suggest you spend some time clicking about to find your way around. It's easier if you have a lap-top as there are several threads. If youβre using another device I strongly suggest that you use the web page as opposed to the app at least until you know your way around.
Have a good read of the pinned post βWelcome Newbiesβ and follow every thread.
I strongly suggest you read and contribute to the Daily Diary and participate in a Weekly Weigh in.
You will find there's loads of tips about better eating, from other members. Sharing your daily menu not only helps you stay committed, it can help other members too.
In my opinion, the best 30 minutes of training is 30 minutes of jogging. I used to run in the park, but now because of this whole pandemic situation, it's become a little unsafe. I decided to order a treadmill for myself, which I chose with treadmillreviewsite.co.uk/ . For the past six months, I've been spending 30 minutes running on a treadmill every morning before breakfast. And I feel great and look great. In addition, it is quite simple and does not require any special knowledge or skills. In my opinion, running is like a form of meditation.
This post is a year old and I don't think the workouts are still taking place, but you might be interested in our Fit is Fun Club healthunlocked.com/weight-l...
All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/weight-l.... and we hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.
We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.
