Hello to my fellow Daily Diaries I hope I find you well and you all had a good weekend. This is the last week of November which probably means you have already started preparing for Christmas.
Now we need to plan our week out and decide what we are going to eat each day. I feel that writing it down keeps us on track. If you are like me you get good ideas from others on the forum and you are able to Nick some menus.
This forum is run by volunteers and we are all here for the same reason to lose some weight and become fitter. Any thing that is said about the menus are ment to be encouragement and not criticism. We are just trying to help each other. So you are able to read it then make your own mind up as we are all different and you have to do what works for you. I find by coming here I have learnt a lot, and saved money also having less waste which I feel is a good think.
If you could tell us what plan you are following if you are. From LCHF, or counting calories. Or any other way.
If you are joining for the first time today welcome follow on from what everyone is doing. If you could join in and answer some of the other posts it is Appreciate as we all need encouragement at some time on our journey. Preferably the person in front of you but of course you can answer as many as you wish. The more you join in the more you get from it. I will be in and out most of the day so I will answer as many as I can.
My meals for Monday are
First thing coffee.
Brunch Cheese omelette.
Around 4 ish fruit and yogurt.
Evening Veg curry with cauliflower rice.
I drink far to much coffee but donβt put sugar in. Also water.
My exercise is Walking Roxie. Also cleaning up as my grandson stayed till this morning.
Now I am looking forward to finding out what you are all having and planning to do for the day. πππ
Hi Caroline, I hope you've had a good time with your grandson there. What a lovely tasty menu you have.
I have a day to myself tomorrow, a rare and wonderful treat. That said, I will still spend the morning and evening running around after the family and probably the middle bit sorting paperwork and tidying the house. But I am going to watch a film in the afternoon, all cosy on the sofa.
I am gluten free and loosely counting calories - aiming at somewhere around 1500 - 1700
B - a small cooked breakfast out without the toast - 500 cals
L - A beetroot wrap with prawn and salmon mayonnaise and loads of salad - 500 cals
D - jacket potato with butter, and a big bean and lentil chilli that I'm going to make in the slow cooker tomorrow, sour cream, a bit of grated cheese and some lettuce - 700 cals
Exercise - some pilates, and a lot of steps probably - I do around 12k on a usual day, so expect I'll make it to around 15k
Yes I did thank you. Salcheq. He is going later this morning. π Make most of your free time. Have a nice breakfast out. That makes a good change. Enjoy your meals. π
Hello all, Thank you for hosting, Caroline. Your menu is great, I am fancying a curry and have that planned for Wednesday. Have had my Sunday roast and am now in a period of fasting. I have some steak & salad, berries and cream in the fridge if hunger strikes tomorrow tea.
Tomorrow I will walk with my dog, Roy. Having nails done as it reminds me my fingers are not in the biscuit tin. Off to the garden centre with two friends for a coffee and a browse round the grotto. Still working on upper body. Happy Monday!
Glad you enjoyed your roast Hopalong1. Good time to do a fast after the roast. Hope the fast goes well. Having nails done a lovely treat. You have a fab day planned. Enjoy. π
Mmm, soup with lentils, I've been trying to think of more ways with lentils after reading about some of the good things they give us health wise. I'm liking the soup idea!!
Lamb I must get some very soon I have seen it in the Daily Diary a few times. Not had it for a long time. I think I will put it on my shopping list for next week. Soup is a good choice also. Have a fab day. π
Hi Caroline62, your menu sounds lovely. I'm sure you had a wonderful weekend with your grandson βΊ the house will seem very quiet now. I had a nice unrushed weekend. Nothing done for Christmas, I will not panic π²
So pleased you had a good weekend. Dangerouscurves. With my grandson it is busier for me as he has special needs. Yes it will be quite for a few days but he is back on Thursday afternoon. Good food there. Enjoy π
L - I'm ashamed to say I went for an easy option and just had a pre-made tesco finest red pepper and goat's cheese pasta salad thing and just added a ton of lettuce leaves and cucumber. 434
D - Black bean and mushroom enchilada and salad - 519 with cheese or 352 without
meal plan is slightly incomplete at the moment. I will probably have a snack before I go to the gym later (probably satsumas and nuts) and I haven't decided whether I'm going to have cheese on the enchilada or not. I already had a bit of cheese in my lunch so I'll hopefully have time to go and buy an avocado at some point to have instead.
Hi Caroline Iβm having a bit of a funny food day. Was at a B and B this morning and had a big breakfast: cereal, fruit and yogurt, then cooked things: a sausage, a rasher of bacon, some mushrooms, a small hash brown and half a piece of brown toast with butter!
No lunch!
Snack- a banana for a motorway stop.
Dinner- leeks in spicy tomato and hazelnut sauce; roasted carrots, beets and potatoes; green salad.
Oh and a chocolate! Yes, just the one. We went to a beautiful chocolate shop on our little trip today and bought some vegan relatives some vegan chocs for Christmas. Resisted buying an enormous box of chocs for ourselves, vegan or otherwise- just got a loose one each!
Exercise- not much, mostly just sitting in the car then doing some work when we get home. But will put in half an hour or so dancing round the kitchen!
Thanks for hosting Caroline and have a good afternoon everyone.
if it was me in a chocolate shop I would have had to buy more than 1. Well done for resisting. I find sitting in a car is very Tiring. Enjoy your food and save traveling. π
