Hey everyone

I am 30 and I want to lose weight for my wedding in August!

I'm not very overweight, I'm 5"5 and weigh 11 stone but carry it well I believe, but I'm not comfortable and I have 2 stone to lose to take me down to 9 stone (my usual weight- I've just got a bit lazy and stopped running!)

How do I go about this site? Are there weigh ins etc?

Many thanks!

Morning! ! Welcome to the forum. You might have spotted today's weigh in thread already - it should be in events. Just reply to the post to join in.

There's also a thread in the pinned post section called 'hello newbies' which will help you get started.

There's lots of keen runners on thus forum too, so if you start running again I'm sure you'll find lots of support for that as well as weight loss.

Good luck!

Hi

Very commendable that you want to lose weight for your wedding but a word of warning!!

Don't stop running/exercising after your wedding cos as sure as eggs are eggs you will put the weight back on!!

It has to be a lifestyle choice not just a quick fix for the wedding fotos!!

Thank you, yes I want to start running again for my general health (I've just quit smoking too) not just the wedding, that's just my insentive really. I find it so hard to get out there but I know once I do I'll have the bug again!
