Hi everyone, I am a member of some other forums on here and found you guys by accident, which is great, I have a thyroid condition which has seen my weight rise by 3 stone in the last five years and have had no luck in moving it down but have managed to stop the gain by changing my medication and taking advice from the thyroid forum on here.

Now I have decided to work at that weight gain and get back to being the more active me that I once was.

With recent health concerns over possible gut issues the gp has ruled out crohens and other issues and settled on stress related ibs. I have recently started the clever guts diet to clean my system out and move forward slowly. I started this end of August and have lost 7lb so far still have the 3 stone to go. I believe I have issues with gluten or wheat as I get lots of indigestion after eating it so I am trying to cut it out.

Anyways off to log my weight for today and hopefully this is start of a successful journey, do want to loose weight however really want to regain the energy and motivation that I have lost over the years.

Would love to touch base with other Hypothyroid Sufferers who have managed to loose weight!!

:)

Helli Hidden and welcome so glad you found us by accident - I did too.

I'd like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out, and who have experience of the same issues as you. If you just post a few words to introduce yourself and respond to others there, you'll soon break the ice. Here's the link

healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

You'll find all the information you need to navigate the forum in the header, so please take the time to read it carefully.

Today's Fabulous Feelgood Friday Weigh In closes at 10.00 pm, and it would be great to see you there.

Morning Hidden I see MissisB has given you the link to the Newbie Club but no badge - so i will give you a week 1 badge which all our Newbies receive and if you read the Newbie club info you will find out more about the badges and forum :)

I am off to google the clever guts diet, as I have never heard of this :) Glad you are seeing your GP and getting help with your health concerns :)

Sunday is my cooking day and I batch cook and put in the freezer - really does help having homemade ready meals :)

The one thing I don't like to freeze is potatoes :)

You will have to share some of the recipes in the recipe section and pop along to the Daily Diary and tell us what you are eating :)

In all the excitement of welcoming you and making sure you could find the Weigh In before it closed last night Hidden I not only overlooked your Week 1 badge, but your 7lbbadge to reflect the huge progress you have already made, despite your health issues.

This terrible omission has now been rectified, and if you hover over your Week 1 badge, you will see your 7lb badge too.

🎺🎺🎺

Great progress, and I look forward to hearing from you again soon. 🙂
