I first stated my weight lose 2 years ago after ankle surgery and off work for 2 moths. Had a weigh in after a week away with my he kids and was shocked to see I was 118 KG my family had been telling me I was FAT but just carried on with my eating. I decided I would start a diet and calorie count with a app called lose it. By April I had hit 95 kg which was a great result. I carried on with diet and got down to 82 kg by the summer. I maintained my weight around 90kg until last April when went on a ski holiday and fell over on first day and snapped my acl and tore my cartilage.

I then stopped work which was a lot of walking an d slowly my weight went on.i had surgery in October last year and was active in January. I decided in April to get myself trim again I stated at 102kg now 86 kg.

I’m happy with my self now I feel it helps with my anxiety that was taking tablets for last year but decided to find off was this was increasing my weight and not sure actually improving my moods etc.

I find walking helps much more than any pills I’ve taken. Sorry for the long lost good luck everyone.

David.

Lose It!

It’s a calorie counting app. Really good, I’ve lost over 2 stone in 7 weeks using it.

I think lose it has helped so Much as it makes you think exactly about what your eating as lists all the fat etc and can track your exercise into the app automatically from a Apple Watch.

Hello and welcome, Gromyp23 😊

You'll find all the information you need about the forum in our Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... including a Welcome message, the Daily Diary and the current weigh in: a good place to start is by joining a weekly weigh in on the day of your choice, and using the Daily Diary, where members share their meal plans.

Take your time exploring. This gives you a tour of the forum healthunlocked.com/?tour=true and, along with Pinned Posts, will show you how things work. I hope you'll become an active member and we will see you joining in around the forum 😊

PS the app doesn’t give access to all parts of the forum so we advise everyone to get rid of the app and log on to the full website using the browser on their phone

Thanks Jeff it’s much appreciated I feel and look so much better. I look back at the old holiday pics on my phone from pre diet days and have big gut and fat face. It enough to keep keep the weight off.

I am so looking forward to that time again I’ve lost a stone and feel better for that. Also doing exercise is making me feel better too but really need to lose another stone and a half for my correct BMI. Cut out lots of carbs but really need to check what I’m eating as I’m on a plateau at just under 14 stone at the moment my age at 66 is perhaps slowing me down too.

Congratulations on your weight loss. Great.

With the app Lose it, do you have to weigh everything, how does one incorporate it when eating out? Thank you.

I do weigh my food yes but it stores everything. Even links my bathroom

Scales so my weight goes straight onto Lose it.
