Hello, I'm Kim and 51 and have battled with my weight for most of my life. I've tried too many diets to mention. I lose a little then give up and go back to square one and gain more before I try the next diet. I've just joined SW and decided this is my last attempt, I'm so miserable and uncomfortable I can't go on like this anymore!!! My dream is to lose 9 stone. Never joined a site like this so hoping it helps me. X
My last attempt: Hello, I'm Kim and 5... - Weight Loss Support
My last attempt
Hi Kim, I've just recently joined and I must admit this site has been a great boost so far and has helped me stay positive and enthusiastic towards my weight lose plan. Posting on here and receiving lots of helpful and encouraging replies really gives you that lift! Welcome and good luck 😊
glad to hear that xvanillaskyx
Hi Kimslastattempt welcome to our friendly supportive forum
We don't think of this as a diet but a change for life to healthy eating that helps us lose or maintain weight
I'd like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, where you can meet other new members, who are also just starting out. . Here's the link

Hello Kim
You most certainly will get lots of help, advice and support from this lovely amazing forum 😊
Good luck on your journey with sw, it worked for me, lovely healthy food, and easy recipes
Have a good Sunday xx
Thank you Louby, yes lots of food to eat on plan, should be no reason to be hungry.
Can I ask how much did you lose and how long did it take?
Happy Sunday 😍
I signed up for the 12 weeks for price of 10 upfront, that way I knew I would go and not make excuses or chicken out 😦
Started 2nd February this year weighing in at 11st 12lb
I am 5ft 2, and clothes were not fitting, plus could feel the extra pounds I was carrying around 😵 did not ever feel hungry or deprived, was actually eating more than I would normally. My club ten weight they put at 10st 9
I reached 1 stone loss on 23rd March, they gave me a 1 stone bag of stones to hold, made me realise just what I had been lugging around. I finished on 14th April, weighing in at 10 stone 7 1/2. Which I have remained at, I had a personal goal of 10st, but hey pleased with what I achieved, and when back from hols will aim for that. The only exercise I was able to do was walking, slowly I might add. Made new friends too, added bonus 😊If you really crave something have it and move on
Good luck xx
Hello Kim, I too have battled with my weight but I am feeling positive this time and have been encouraged by many people on this site, so welcome we are all behind you.
Dear Kim's
You can make that dream a reality by using the diet and support on this forum. By helping yourself on this forum and giving help to others it will keep you going.
I don't know SW but I think it essential to calorie count and to be honest with yourself how much you are eating. Keep an accurate calorie diary because unless you eat less calories than you expend you won't lose weight.
Don't look too far ahead just a week at a time and then that 1 lb loss will grow into 2 and then 1/2 stone and so on. Each week's loss will make you more encouraged.
Try to walk 10000 steps a day. The more you do it the easier it is
Clean out all food which will encourage bingeing e.g. Crisps sugary drinks sweets , biscuits, cake, sugary cereal, and try to stay clear of bread, potatoes, pasta and rice.
Looking forward to see your progress
Best wishes
