Bought myself some silver trainers to celebrate the end of my 8 week blood sugar diet on 800 cals a day which has resulted in 10 kg weight loss

Need to lose another 10 kg then I'll treat myself to a pair of gold!

Woohoo, pcrw, very snazzy and well-deserved! :)

Very sparkly - well done on your loss, not sure I could survive on 800cals per day

You've done so well, have you found it difficult to manage on 800 calories? Love the glitzy trainers.

I thought I would find it difficult but I have stuck to 3 meals low carb and absolutely no snacking. No sugar or sugar substitutes and one piece of fruit per day. After 48 hours all cravings disappeared and I have been fine. I am eating full fat Greek yogourt which is high in protein.

I think transitioning to a larger calorie intake will be harder . I am very lucky because today is my initial consultation with the diabetes NHS prevention program so hoping for some good advice

Best wishes

good luck with your hospital appointment and please let us know what they suggest 😊

Also, you have earned a 10kg badge which is a fabulous achievement 😊

Thanks Anna

My blood sugar is back in normal range so I am delighted

Still have 4 cms to lose from waist and a bit more weight . I shall keep up my exercise regime and slightly increase cals but move to 5:2 diet

Apparently HIT does wonders for weight loss. If you have access to an exercise bike you only need 10 min work out 3 times a week with 3 bursts of High intensity pedalling for max 29 seconds for it to have a helpful impact in fat burning. I have been doing that for a few weeks now.

Still avoiding any sugar and high GI carbs

Best wishes
