I have been hard at work losing weight for the last three months. On finding that I had not lost a full kilo this week but only .9 kg I was feeling a bit downhearted as I had exercised more and eaten much the same as those weeks when I lost a kilo. It is probably because I have less to lose now, only four more kilos.
I decided to weigh out items from my larder which amount to the 14 kg which I have lost since starting at the beginning of July and was shocked to see what it looked like. This is what I have been carrying around. What had I been thinking of not to do something about it sooner.? that extra weight had a detrimental effect on my health in all sorts of ways. My blood pressure was high, my cholesterol high and ultimately my blood sugar high. Never did the doctor say to me that losing weight could solve these problems till the end of June when finally I was told I was pre-diabetic and needed to lose weight. I am so grateful that somebody told me the truth I was thoroughly overweight indeed obese and needed to do something about it. Here is a photo of what 14 kg looks like. It's spurs me on to continue my diet and I hope it does you too.
PS I have included the weight of the containers in my calculations as well as the contents. The biscuits are not for me and have been left untouched!
