The best thing I have done lately is to log all the food I eat, and to weigh my portions. I find it is essential in my weight loss programme, otherwise a bit of extra cereal creeps into my bowl, or that bit of extra mashed potato doesn't get included and before you know it, I have eaten a few hundred extra calories that I hadn't banked on.
