I got up "early" today (9am) as it was sunny and ventured out into the garden after drinking three gallons of tea!
Exercise: Mowing the lawns, doing a small amount of weeding (I can only reach the taller weeds and ones I can pull up easily using my feet - I have shortened arms because of disability!) and some dead heading.
Brunch: 4 slices of streaky bacon, quarter of a tin of plum tomatoes, fried mushrooms and a small wholemeal roll with butter. 401 calories.
Dinner - pork loin steaks with some sort of creamy mustard sauce (creme fraiche, chopped shallots, Dijon mustard) with home grown new potatoes, baby carrots and some runner beans - not many beans as there were only four that were big enough, but not harvested, they'd have been TOO big! 377 calories
Drinks: 127 calories.
PLANNED TOTAL for above 904 calories. I am sure that I'll easily get up to my 1100 limit!
Hubbie is off to the footie later (Reading v Fulham) so I will have a very rare afternoon on my own, which I'm really looking forward to!
Oh, and this is our very timid cat, Frank!

Aww sounds like you are having a fab day and lovely menu
Sounds a lovely day. Like your menu - you've got me looking up bacon in the calorie checker and I may have some too ! Love the cat. He looks a sweetie (of the non-fattening sort!)
Streaky bacon is my favourite - to me it has the best taste. I prefer smoked to un-smoked, but you really maximise the flavour and minimise the calories.
This bacon was Tesco Finest Dry Cure - 4 rashers, grilled = 175 calories.
Tomatoes, plum tinned = 25 cals
Small bread roll, Aldi part-baked = 129
Butter 7g = 51
Olive oil (for Mushrooms) 1/2 tsp = 21 cals
Mushrooms, third of a pack of Chestnut mushrooms = 11 cals
Mushrooms are also brilliant value - the chestnut mushrooms have more colour and stay firmer. Lovely fried and tossed with some spaghetti, few chopped fresh herbs (thyme) and some cooked wholewheat spaghetti and a little grated mature Cheddar!
This one is a real scaredy cat! We got him from a cat rescue over 3 years ago. Apparently the previous owner had a lot of animals. We got him and another cat at the same time from the same household. He spent the first few days hiding inside our electric reclining sofa! Then he moved to live underneath the kitchen units.
He's fine now with myself and my husband, but he's always very jumpy and nervous. He rarely enters the house if there's anyone else about. He loves being outside though, and is a bit of a "bird killer" He's had about 7 or 8 wood pigeons since we've had him - they're bigger than he is!
Our cat was a rescue too but she came out of her shell & became very friendly. She wasn't a killer - the only time she caught anything was when a bird flew into her mouth when she was yawning & died of fright.
We now have one tiny friendly killing machine & one large scaredy cat 🐱
The other cat we got from the rescue was a LARGE (very large) cat, who thought he was a dog! He would run to the door if anyone rang the bell. He had clearly been VERY overweight at some time in the past, he was long haired, had lots of bald patches due to a severe flea bit allergy..... and would eat ANYTHING - and I mean ANYTHING that we left in his reach! He gobbled up half a Madeira cake (including wrapper), chewed through a plastic bag that had frozen vegetable soup in it, and was even caught once licking olive oil out of a hot pan when I was frying some mushrooms!
Sadly one day we lost him outside on the road. It's not a busy road, but it's straight and cars pass quite fast....
I hope you don't mind me following you, I'm loving your encouraging posts already.
Frank looks sleek and beautiful. I have a westie dog, she's adorable and we get on just fine. At the moment she is hobbling too like me, not sure if it's lack of exercise and over weight, just like me. We hardly do any at the moment, exercise, but hoping that will change real soon and back to long walks on the beach and country park near us.
Diet today, Well eating today! Started off ok with weetabix, tea for bekky, then a pear mid morning, then the trouble. Fish/ chips with friends at mine.
On the up, we only ever have small pensioner portion. Now I'm left wondering how long I can hold off till I eat again.
Day one of a much unexpected new way of eating plan again.
Awww, Rose-of-pride25 course I don't mind! Love Westies. I wouldn't have a dog as we had two before, but we go away quite a lot and so it wouldn't be fair.... my ex-husband is happy to come in and feed our Frank for us - he's no trouble really (the ex and the cat!)
At the weekend and also most weekdays, I try to hold off eating until very late morning or lunchtime and then I only eat two meals. Many people say they couldn't go without breakfast, but I find if I eat something, I am hungry (starving!) at around 10.30/11am. I always have lots of cups of tea though!
Blimey. I think because her sister is so small the other cat looks bigger. She doesn't eat that much but is very home loving so doesn't get a huge amount of exercise unlike her smaller sister.
