I’m leaving my 40’s behind in a couple of months. It’s a strange time to be entering my 6th decade, especially with recently diagnosed sciatica (wrong chair when wfh, employer has been brilliant and provided a standing desk).
In the last 36 months, having never had any problem, I have
had concussion from slipping down my own back steps,
recovered from a broken elbow from playing touch rugby,
strained my groin and pulled my hamstring from playing 5 a side,
been diagnosed with depression and anxiety.
And to put the icing on the cake I’ve rediscovered my love of comfort eating and put on 5 stone.
I’m now without motivation and feeling a bit lost.
I’m on a mission now to be fit and well into my 60’s and beyond, hence my username.

Sounds like you've been in the wars, one way and another, so I hope the forum will help you turn things round with regards to your weight.
You'll find everything you need in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... A good place to start is by joining a weekly weigh in and using the Daily Diary, where members share their meal plans.
Active participation will be a big boost to your own efforts so I hope we'll see you joining in around the forum
Ah, time will pass, we want it or not. Not much we can do about it.
You can, however, do something about the 5 stones. You will probably benefit being in the healthy BMI range, and you are in a good place to get encouragement to achieve that.
BridgeGirl suggested the weigh in once a week. I used to be in the Sunday Slimmers group. I found lots of support there. I am sure you would like it there. If another day is more convenient, that’s fine, there’s a team for every day of the week.
