I've newly discovered this forum via Healthy Eating, and it looks like it has been the right timing as I have set a very important New Years' Resolution of putting myself through Weight Loss! The reason why I have chosen to make a commitment to losing weight is because,
1) I don't like my obese appearance!
2) I am relishing the challenge to get into some consistent daily exercising.
3) A healthier lifestyle would be extremely beneficial for my Mental and Emotional Wellbeing!
At the New Year I weighed 77kg (12 stone 1lb). By the end of this year I will be looking to be back at my original weight of 57.8kg (9 stone 10lbs), which I hope I will be able to maintain within a steady healthy lifestyle!
I am looking forward to sharing experiences, lots of ideas and progression with you!!
xx

That seems quite doable to me. I'm combining LCHF with intermittent fasting and lost over 7kg in the first month. Slowed down in the last couple of weeks, but I expected to to lose the rest 14kg in the next couple of months. 5 + change to go!
Hello and welcome to the Weight Loss Forum TaurusLady
If you haven’t already then please read the Pinned Posts here healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... Please read it carefully so you can find all the information you need to find your way around.
This is a peer to peer support group, and nothing beats joining in, reading posts and replying to others. Our group Weigh-in and the Daily Diary are probably the best places to start.
PS I think you might relate to this. I've lost a total of a little over 10kg since I started trying in October (LCHF came later). At some point I realised that the fat stranger who always got in the way when I looked in the mirror had gone.
If you are just on the cusp of obesity, a small difference can change everything.
If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.
Some of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:
Hi and welcome and you've set yourself achievable goals there. Take a look at what admin sends and jump on in. Joining a weigh day is most beneficial as will get plenty of support. Good luck. Are you doing calorie counting or just eating sensibly? If doing calorie counting check out your personal allowance on BMI calculator and eat to top end of it.
