Hi alli, why not drop in to the Maintainers Club, read what others are posting there and tell them how things are going with you. You'll find it in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
Wow! Fantastic result. Well done alli74x ! Why don’t you check out the Maintainers’ thread. You will find it under Topics. A new one will be posted a week on Sunday as it is always done the first Sunday in the month. You can talk to other Maintainers then and compare notes.
A word of warning- it isn’t the end of the road when you reach goal, well hasn’t been for me anyway. Seems a constant struggle at times! But it’s reassuring to talk about it with others in the same boat.
Good luck!
Yes, the Maintainers club is great! My main advise is to go reasonably low carb/low GI. I don’t do a Low Carb High Fat plan, I still eat lots of whole grains and pulses and roots. But I know that if I fill up on sugary things, white rice and pasta, white flour products and booze, it just sets up a cycle of craving more and more of those things. That’s what happened to me after my summer holiday and over Christmas. I’m nearly back in maintenance now and am determined to stay there with plenty of healthy protein and fat to keep me satisfied! When I manage that I don’t need to count calories!
Hi, alli74x .
I lost four and a half stone - and I have kept it off for six months. Maintaining can be the most difficult part.
If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.
Some of us here find that what works, for weight loss and maintenance, is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:

Fantastic how did you do it?
Your so right it’s a mind set thing, but well done, seems you have cracked it!😀
