Hello friends,

I am new to this community and to start with In have to focus on losing 6-7kg in next few months

I am active and visit gym twice a week and 40 mins badminton session. I know I have to increase gym days from 2 to 4 times a week.

I need help on diet plan. I am Veggie and have indian food most days of the week.

My daily food intake looks like

Breakfast: quaker oats with almond milk and glass of orange juice.

Lunch: Sandwich or meal from food joints in London (Pret, itsu or leon)

Dinner: veggies, lentil curry and rice

Some snacks (crips or biscuits or fruits) during the day or evening.

I need suggestions, guidance in improving my diet and activity plan please

Hi BritIndianDad, welcome to this lovely community. I'm still new here. I suggest you read the Newbie pack carefully and follow every link so you find your way around.

I found the Daily Diary very useful members swap ideas and plan meals.

I also joined the Weekly Weigh in where we keep track of our goals.

I'm sorry I can't help with your choice of foods but I'm sure someone will have some veggie ideas.

Good luck🍀

Hi and welcome, BritIndianDad :)

I advise logging your menus on the daily diary, for ongoing support, advice and ideas, but my impression is that you're consuming a fairly high carb diet.

A few tweaks I would recommend are:

Check that your almond milk is unsweetened.

Stop drinking orange juice, as it contains roughly the same amount of sugar as a can of coke.

Try and cut back on the bread, by having a large salad with an oily dressing for lunch. Do you eat eggs and cheese?

If your curries contain lentils, or other pulses, then give the rice a miss and add lots of extra veggies.

Stop the snacking and increase the fat content of your meals, so that you remain satiated until the next one.

Have a look at these phcuk.org/wp-content/upload... and healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and I hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.

We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.

Wishing you all the best for 2020 :)

Welcome! Well you know you can do this. I eat when I'm bored so...I'm also using a couple of apps to help me. Couch to 5k. Brilliant! A water drinking reminder and also I am sober. To keep me dry through january. I find they keep me on my toes. Good luck x
