Hi everyone. I’ve just joined to try to get some support to lose weight n motivate myself to get out and walk more.
The last year had been bad for me and my husband. He’s diagnosed with bladder cancer n awake all night in n out to the toilet.
I was supposed to be having spine surgery but found it was so bad it’s now not recommended. !
So my once busy life has now become sedentary. My poor little dog is also Lame now so Im no longer walking a few times a day and im sat at home bored out of my head and wanting food all the time. Somehow I have to get out of this rut.
I’m going to have a look around and see what I’m supposed to be doing and get some ideas on how to get my mojo back and hope to meet others in a similar position.

Hi Louloo46, I'm new too and got incredibly lost to begin with.
My suggestion is that you sit down quietly and play with it for a while. Try clicking the link if that's not where you wanted to be, go back and try again.
Hi, I am disabled and basically house bound and sedentary. I put on a lot of weight ,due to this and am basically twice the weight I should be for my height. I tried everything, I couldn't afford the gym, talking and advice wasn't helping and the only way to break the cycle, was to take the plunge and join a group. The group I joined are very supportive. We meet on a Wednesday evening for two hours, there are people of all ages there and some men go as well. I have been going for 5 months now and have 2lbs to go before I have lost my first stone! Nobody judges anyone, we have a laugh but it has taught me how to be sensible about food in my position, basically housebound and finding it difficult to exercise. Might be a possibility for you. No commitment to strict timeframe, you lose weight according to your own goals. And it worked for me, believe me, nothing else has and I now have a great group of supportive friends too.
