Hello I am a newbie : I am so useless on... - Weight Loss Support
Hello I am a newbie
Hi and welcome to the group.ππ
Have you talked with your doctor about what type of diet/exercise plan will be right for you?
Welcome on the forum. You will soon receive a welcome post from our admin team member.
We don't know much about your weight loss journey, so it's a bit blind to advise.
Generally advising, eat less carbohydrate, keep more active.
Do not starve!
Aim 0.25-0.5kg loss per week. Any higher will be difficult to sustain.
Good luck, and come back with more info or if you have questions.

Hiya
Why not have a look at the NHS 12 week plan lots of tips and advice on there.
Also have a look at the Christmas Challenge to get you started.
Good luck.
Hi, Ranabanana , welcome.
Weight loss is not all about motivation and masochism - if you "slim smart" it is not so hard!
Many of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:
I was 17. 1/2 stone in March Iβve lost 2 1/2 stone very slowly I am more of a tortoise than a hare
Welcome. Be prepared for the long haul and a lifestyle change. Most if not all of us got this way by overeating and under exercising. Unless we are committed to change these lifestyle choices we will fail in the long term. The 0.25-0.5 kg weight loss per week is realistic and leads to the longer term goal - sustainability of a healthy weight
