Hi all, I'm just on Day 2, Week 1 of the 12 week plan. I'm 17st (5'7") so I can have between 1800 and 2314 calories. I managed to have 1385 yesterday as I had intended to try to stick to 1400 a day but now wondering if 1800 would be more realistic. My first goal is to lose a stone, I would like like to be a size 16 for Christmas (currently an 18-20) and then see where I am at the end of the 12 weeks. I feel like taking my weight in hand has been a long time coming, I have really lacked motivation and just seemed to be watching the pounds pile on. I'm chuffed to have found this plan and the forum too, I'm raring to go - I did a walk/jog yesterday and feel really motivated for planning my meals and snacks - long may it continue!
I'm really enjoying reading all the posts, it feels so much easier knowing there are folk doing this plan and succeeding, even the blips remind you that it's not going to be easy but hopefully we'll all get there.

Welcome ChrissieBee - it's a great environment for supporting each other. Good luck with your losses - I'm sure you'll look fab well before Christmas!
hey I personally think that you should start off by aiming to hit the 1800cals target.
It's still going to be less than you were consuming so you will still achieve a good weightloss each week,
at the end of the day eating 1400cals instead of 1800 will probably help you lose about 1lb extra a week but will be more mentally challenging for you.
I'm sure you'll do great whatever you decide though!
P.S - I'm no doctor, nutritionilist or any other qualified person just a small understanding about how to lose weight
Thanks for that, I've downloaded the myfitnesspal app and it has recommended 1740 cals and I'm finding it really handy for the calorie counting so I think I'll stick with that amount.
It's great to have like minded people to discuss this with 😊
