Hi, Tallulah85 , welcome.
Weight loss is not all about motivation and masochism - if you "slim smart" it is not so hard!
Many of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:
Many on here find the NHS 12 week plan a good start to healthy eating by cutting right down on cake, biscuits, wine, ice creams and crisps and eating home cooked well balanced meals with wholemeal rice, pasta and bread, lean meats and oily fish, eggs, milk and plenty of different veg. Meals are eaten until satisfied and not stuffed. I lost over 2 and half stone since February and it is easy to maintain. NHS give loads of good up to date advice endorsed by the British Heart Foundation. Good luck with your healthy eating decisions.
I am using that too and using the Change 4 Life recipes. I'm also doing workouts daily. I'm loving how much active and fresher I'm feeling just after 1 week! My 12 weeks finish on the last week of the year, so hopefully I can start 2020 a lot healthier! Congrats on the 2 and a half stone, that's amazing
