Hi and welcome, Marmitelover05 :)

The best tip I can give you is to log on regularly and get involved as much as possible. The mutual support is better than any 'diet'.

There's heaps of information to be found, you just have to start reading :)

Follow this link to our chat thread and a list of all the activities we run. We've found active participation to be key to success, especially with our weigh-ins and Daily Diary.

My tip would be not to worry about the length of the journey. Once you start eating well, it will click into place and you'll see it as something you can enjoy, not endure. Take a positive approach: try a new ingredient each week, try new recipes; you'll get plenty of ideas from the Daily Diary.

This put me on a path I'm happy with dietdoctor.com/low-carb

if you have 6 small meals a day it may help keep ur energy levels stable and less hungry try no more than size of large apple this was recommended by my dietician but see what suits u experiment month by month

There are some problems with this approach in that each time we eat, insulin levels are raised and this plays a large part in storing fat.

OK, I didn't realise that. It's good you have advice.

You could ask her what she thinks about that information, and the role of insulin in weight gain/loss

true it would be interesting as i know insulin mega important and i find it all fascinating, i even trained as a nutritional therapist, vitamins and minerals naturally gotten from foods mega important too, this another reason i do not have my painkillers because i am so so sensitive due to fybromyalgia and osteoarthritis and pcos etc

Hi Marmitelover05

Welcome to the forum! My advice is to set mini goals and have a non- food related treat as you reach each milestone. Good luck on your journey, you're definitely in the right place!
