Hi, I'm 61 and weigh 12.7 . I'm hoping to lose 2 stone by eating healthily & doing more walking. Exercise is not for me as I have back problems . So Hey Ho off we go !!

Welcome, Janet! Sounds like you have a good plan. I weigh the same as you and would love to lose 2 stone too. Ther's no reason for me not to exercise except there are never enough hours in the day and I am lazy!

I do go to the gym occasionally but not enough to make a difference, so I'm determined to increase the exercise and eat less.

Do you have a particular diet plan, or are you just planning to be healthy?

Welcome and good luck,

I think you've made a wise decision in choosing a healthy eating plan instead of a diet, have you looked at the NHS 12 week plan? I found it very easy and even enjoyable.

I don't do any exercise, as in I don't go to the gym or work out, like you I have a back problem and I'm also your age, but I do quite a bit of walking and my everyday life is active enough without going to the gym.

Best wishes to you I'm sure you'll have the success you want.

Janet, I am a few months short of 69 going on 40. Having done the 12 week plan and C25K. I can run 6k+ Or 5K in 38 minutes when I could not run for 30 seconds. I am on and off doing Stretch and Flex and working on a 100 push up challenge. (So far I can do 12 bench push up only) 😂 but who cares, I will get there one day.

My motto is one step at a time. Small goals.

So go for it. Today is the first day of your new wonderful life.
